Missing Screensavers

Hello there, I'm running KDE 3.5.3 and have a problem regarding screensavers. The problem is that when I call up Kcontrolcenter (to configure Kdesktop) there are no screensavers pressent. I do have kscreensaver-xsavers and xscreensaver-gl installed but screensavers from either package don't show up. Nothing shows up. I tried
sudo sed -i -e 's/TryExec=xscreensaver//' /usr/share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers/*

to fix the problem but didn't help. Any suggestions?
