tcp/ip client

Hi

I have been looking for a tcp/ip client for Linux similar to Windows' Hyperterminal but have not found one yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Isn't that application comparable with 'telnet'?
Start the 'konsole', type 'telnet <hostname> <port>'.
When you want to close the connection, press Ctrl+].
Working on KMess, a MSN Messenger client for Linux/KDE.

yes, you are right.

I actually thought the telnet client was using additional protocol characters when transmitting.

I have tested it and it's doing what I want.

Thanks.
