Synchronize with Nokia 6230

Dear People,

Just switched to Linux, from XP (yes I know should have done it earlier ;) )

Got most things running (not as they should be, but sufficient at the moment) The only obstacle I still have is the calender and contacts synchronisation with my nokia 6230. This is a real pain at the moment. Have to enter things twice (and on a phone that is not fun X( )

Already looked at the several other sites, but no solution so far. Anybody some tips or suggestions.

I am running Suse 10.0, with the Kontakt Email, Calender and Contacts program. If need be willing to change this or use an additional program for my contacts and calender only.

Who can help???

RE: Synchronize with Nokia 6230

Ben ik net mee bezig maar lukt ook niet echt, althans ik kan geen instellingen vinden waarmee het iemand wel geheel is gelukt.

RE: Synchronize with Nokia 6230

Since I don't understand dutch, can you please say, in english, what you've found out?

I have a Nokia 6280 and I'm also desperately in need to get sync working with Kontact.

I bought a bluetooth usb dongle 2.0 (Prodigy) and got it work with Nokia 6310i using xgnokii program in Ubuntu Dapper operating system. Then I instaleld kmobiletools to KDE 3.5.5.

When I start it I get error message "An eror occured while initializing mobile phone device." Then it opens settings dialog. I have chosen phone type to Nokia generic. I have checked ATD dial system and CKPD dial system, doesn't work. I don't see any /dev/mobile or /dev/rfcomm0 on my system.

Does this problem belong to kmobiletools or kbluez or to something else? In gnokii settings there was a port setting and to that I put mobile phone MAC. Kmobiletools doesn't have port configuration in settings dialog. I think that it can be reason to that problem.

I went to KMobileTools and got there a newer version 0.5x to Ubuntu Dapper. That worked much better, but crashed when searching bluetooth devices.
