Connecting kopete

I have upgraded to kopete 0.12.1 beta. I use kubuntu /KDE 3.5.0. When I try to connect to kopete it will keep the icon flashing and say "connecting" not "conected" I have checked and reset my password. This is using Yahoo

The Yahoo protocol changed slighty after Kopete Beta1 was released, which made the Yahoo login fail. This was fixed in Beta2.

Connecting kopete

I apoligize if this should be a new thread. I downloaded the beta 2 and tried to install it. This is what I get. Being a newbie I do not understand where to go from here.

Check if you have binutils and glibc-devel installed.

I have a glibc-docs that is not installed. Adept does not show a glibc-devel
I have the other one installed.
