Anyartist in house?

I think there is need of good window decorations for KDE 4 and onwards just like what macintsoh have for thier os,also metacity win manager have for gnome.kwin decorations are really poor and dont attract users.
why not create something like mac os x?

RE: Anyartist in house?

KDE is very configurable, you can make it as beautiful or as ugly as you want it. You want a Mac OS X look? Shop around at http://www.kde-look.org and with a little work you have a Mac like desktop. And maybe of some of the existing Mac themes will be shipped with KDE 4. Who knows.

It's true, I wonder who uses those obscure old decorations like "WEB" "RISC OS" "OPEN LOOK" "CDE" or "KDE1" ??

I will find out once I remove them from the SVN repository. :)
Anyway, I don't believe they'll survive the transition to KDE 4.

Do you have a clue when the "transition" will be? ( if it's not a secret ;) )

Despite the fact that we are open source, we have no idea when KDE 4 will see the daylight (or when we will see the light).

We expect a technical preview somewhere in August this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if a final release would take place somewhere in (early) 2007.
