Kmix crashed on Linspire 5.0

I installed factory supplied, new out-of-the-box Linspire 5.0 on a new (deep formatted and partitioned) Compaq V2000 laptop, Pentium M, 1.6 GHz, 2Mb L2, 1.5 Gb RAM and Realtek RTL8139/810x ethernet card. Opposite partion has Windows XP, SP2 (RTL8139 connects online). Linspire and RTL8139 will not establish online Roadrunner Broadband connection (therefore I can't use Linspire online features such as CNR, email etc.) During Linspire shutdown the following is flashed: "Kmix (kmix) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)". I realize this concerns my missing Linspire audio; how do I correct this? Is there a cause and effect? Can you at least help me acquire Linspire audio? Perhaps others can assist with RTL8139 Internet connection problem. Many thanks.
