RadeonTool

Would it be possible to configure KDE to run a custom command after locking the session? I'd like to configure it to have RadeonTool turn my LCD off instead of just blanking the screen, and turn the screen back on when I move the mouse to log back in (and it un-blanks the screen).

Also, in "display power management", when I set it to power-off the screen after a certain time, it only blanks the screen, and the backlight stays on. I'd like to make it work with RadeonTool to turn the backlight off and save power.

The locking is achieved by running the kdesktop_lock program.

So you could rename that executable, create a script with this name and call the renamed program in there, and place the calls to your tools before and after that.
