Focus jumps between displays in dual head setup

Hello.

I have just set up Kubuntu Dapper and I'm running the KDE 3.5.2 packages with X.org. I have a Dell D810 laptop with an ATI X600 graphics adapter.

My X setup is a dual-head where I run two seperate desktop displays (:0.0 and :0.1) (ie. this is not MergedFB or Xinerama or any such "streched single desktop" solution).

The problem that I'm facing is that every once in a while the focus jumps from my active window onto a window on the other desktop display. This usually happens when some operation that opens a dialog is run. This is extremely annoying since I have to grab the mouse, click back on the application I was using and then I can continue working (I have to do this since I'm not familiar with a keyboard shortcut to switch between desktop displays like Alt-tab switches between applications). I have tried to put the KDE "focus stealing prevention" to the "extreme" level but that makes no difference in this case, the focus still jumps between displays.

So I have two questions:
1) Does anyone know of a solution to this "cross desktop focus stealing" problem?
2) Does anyone know of a keyboard shortcut to switch between displays?

Kind regards, Stefan Freyr

p.s. here's my Xorg -version:
