Hiding desktop icons and font color change

Hi!
I have 2 little questions:

1. How can I hide desktop icons?

2. How can I change font color on taskbar (kicker)?

Thanks for replies

If you don't want any desktop icons, you could disable this feature in kcontrol: kcontrol->Desktop->Behavior->uncheck "Show icons on desktop".

Thank You

I knew that this'll be something simple.

But what about this color change. I can set font size, type but there's nothing about colors. I need this because when I use transparent Kicker and have dark wallpaper I can't see letters on taskbar.

There's a taskbar scheme, called For Transparency, which gives a special effect to the fonts to make them readable. You can find this options in the Panel configuration under the Taskbar section.

Note that this option only exists with KDE 3.5 or higher.

1. Is there a way to change this taskbar scheme -For Transparency, i mean like change color or something. When I use this theme I've got dark fonts with white color around them it would be great to have just gray or white letters :)

2. Anothere question I woudl like to ask is there a way to change highlights on taskbar. When I get mouse pointer over a window name (on taskbar) i've got white button thing highlight. I'm definetly new in kde world because so any help would be great.

3. How to change window icon on the taskbar :) for example i woud like to have firefox icon in sted of earth thing glob.

I've anothere thing related with taskbar. My friend just moved from xp to linux with kde and asked me is there a way to do a Quick_lunch..something (windows name). Taskabr should be then slpit in 2 horizontaly, icons on the upper part and window names on lower part :)
