Logon problem: Key layouts

Hi,

My wife and I use different keyboard layouts (she uses U.S.; I use the speedier Dvorak).

Unfortunately, when she tries to log on after one of my sessions, the key layout stays as Dvorak, even though she's clicked her user name in the logon window.

Wouldn't it make more sense for KDE to check (and switch to, if necessary) the selected user's key layout---so they can, you know, type their password?

And meanwhile, is there a workaround for this (config file, etc.)?

Thanks, ander
