own smilies?

Hi,

Is there a way to add my own emoticons to the msn collection?
Or even save the ones those are received from a chatpartner?
Thank you!

RE: own smilies?

Yes, there's a way, but it's not that straight forward.

Find the location of your emoticon set (somewhere in $KDEDIR/share/emoticons or in ~/.kde/share/emoticons) and put your custom emoticons in that folder. Than adapt the emoticons.xml file to include them in the set. You can also make a new set by making a new folder with it's own emoticons.xml .

RE: own smilies?

but I'm actually using the msn7 theme and I only have following folders in there:

Source code

1
2
3
4
5
reg@linux:~> ls /opt/kde3/share/emoticons
Boxed greggman.com KMess-Blue phpBB tweakers.net
ccmathteam.com GroupWise KMess-Cartoon Plain
Default KMess KMess-Violet RedOnes
reg@linux:~>

where are the msn7 icons saved? Thank you!

Probably in ~/.kde/share/emoticons (that's where I have them).
