Kopete cannot go through NAT ?

Hi, all

These days I am bothered by a problem.

Since I am now surfing the Internet through NAT, I cannot use kopete
to connect google talk server any more.
While at the same time I still can use Google Talk client under Windows
to connect to the server, without any additional configuration.

Could anyone please explain this to me? Why can I use Google Talk client
straightly but not kopete? What kind of new technology Google use to
overcome a NAT issue?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

RE: Kopete cannot go through NAT ?

I don't have problems with Google Talk behind a NAT. Which version of Kopete are you using?

RE: Kopete cannot go through NAT ?

I'm using Kopete 0.11.1(using KDE 3.5.1) now.

Seems kopete cannot connect to google talk server through port 5223, but in my opinion it is the only port that non-google talk client could use.

Looking for more help. Thanks :)
