[kopete] skype plugin

Hi,

I successfully compiled the skype plugin and installed dbus-devel with yast on my system, when setting up skype in kopete, i can't connect, it shows the message: 'Cold not connect to DBUS' then I decided to download, compile and install the latest version of DBUS. I did that successfully but the error stays the same, I just can't connect, why not? What's goin' wrong? Thank you!

RE: [kopete] skype plugin

Perhaps your problems are related to those discussed in this thread? If anything, your version of dbus might be too new.

RE: [kopete] skype plugin

your version of dbus is most definately too new. the Skype DBUS API requires a certain version of dbus in order to work. The Skype people have said they're in the process of updating it, but we've yet to see anything from them regarding the update.
