[kopete] Changed ICQ protocol - incompatibility with alternative clients

Few days ago ICQ modified their protocol. This causes some incompatibilities with alternative ICQ clients. I use Kopete and I noticed that messages from other contacts are not delivered to me. Do you have some hack/update that solve this? Thanks.

People, please do something! Got the same problem and don't want to use only KDE3.4 new Kopete!

Ask in the right place

It's best to report this kind of problem in the right place, where developers can actually read about the protocol problems; you will of course also need to deal with your distro which needs to roll out new packages -- basically, protocol changes are a real pain in the nadgers to deal with because they don't follow a release cycle.

So. The right place for this kind of reports is the kdenetwork mailing list (ooh, I can't find one) or the kopete-devel mailing list ( https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kopete-devel ) .

The problem is not Kopete. The problem is all the other clients that don't work.
