[kopete] Global Identity

In KDE 3.5, Kopete introduced the concept of the global identity. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any way of turning this feature off. There is a checkbox in the configuration options for "Enable Global Identity", but this appears to be just for show, as it doesn't actually turn global identity off when unchecked, but merely prevents the user from being able to configure it.

Does anyone know of some config file magic I could work to disable this feature?
