Kmail : can't stop enerving error messages

I've been giving Kmail a try for the last few months and liked it a lot, but there's one major annoyance i couldn't stop yet :

i'm using IMAP. i tend to have my mail client open all of the time, minimized to the system tray. and i have to use unreliable network connections quite often (i.e. all of the wireless lans at universiy) that tend to break from time to time.

problem : every time the connection breaks for a few seconds, kmail throws ONE ERROR MESSAGE FOR EVERY MAILBOX at me about the mail server of that mailbox not being reachable.
these messages steal my focus, clutter my desktop and can't be closed all at once by selexting the group in the taskbar and selecting "close all" - that only closes one of them. so i have to click "OK" to seven stupid, screen-filling messages (i have 7 mailboxes) every time the wlan breaks. this is driving me nuts.

does anybody know a solution to this problem?

it is especially stupid that, as all of my 7 mailboxes reside on the same server, kmail complains 7 times about _the same mailserver_ not being reachable.

RE: Kmail : can't stop enerving error messages

You can try to make a account of type "disconnected imap" for those accounts to see if that works better.
