amaroK: odd behaviour with ogg files

Using amarok 1.3.1 (KDE 3.4.3) under Kubuntu 5.10:

Initially I could play my collection of .ogg music files with amarok using the gstreamer engine (had of course gstreamer-vorbis lib installed).

At some point only ogg files from the playlist could be played, but none from the collection anymore, the later gave always "some media could not be loaded (not playable)". The files were there and accessible.

I finally switched to the xine engine, and everything worked again.

Any hint of what went possibly work is highly appreciated.
