[kopete] GroupWise IM strangeness.

I also posted this to the SourceForge site but it appears this is a much more active forum so sorry for the re-post...

I'm running gentoo with kde 3.5. My version of kopete reports as 0.11.0.

I'm curious if anyone has run into this problem before.

I can log into my GroupWise IM account. I get my buddy list from the server.

When I attempt to message someone I get, "An error occurred when trying to start a chat: 53505"

Now the odd part.

As long as they have a window opened on their side to chat with me I can send them messages. BUT, when they close their window I go back to getting the aforementioned error.

Does anyone know if this is a server misconfiguration or a bug in kopete?

Thanks!

RE: [kopete] GroupWise IM strangeness.

This issue is resolved by using only your username to login to groupwise messenger.

ex: use "test" instead of "test.group.ou.o" to login.

Bug 112908 also references this issue: Bug 112908
