[solved] no sound at all

hi, after trying to install ubuntu breezy badger and k3.5 (why /trying/? see http://www.kde-forum.org/artikel/14038/p…grading-35.html )
I have no sound at all.
All settings look ok, but still then, I'm pretty much a newb both to linux and to the K and don't really know what to look for.

please help as I'm addicted to watching Futurama :-)
