Start Artsd on automatically on startup

Is there a way to force Artsd to start automatically with KDE? If it already does this, is there a way to force it to automatically restart after a crash?

I am using KDE 3.4.3 in Ubuntu 5.10 Breezy, and artsd seem to randomly not be started when I log in.

arts is not needed anymore, with recent alsa-drivers and kernel, you don't need it anymore. Since it is a layer between your applications and alsa, it's nothing more than another error source.
