RE: Install KDE 3.5 on mandriva 2006.0

Hi.

I'm half-way through installing KDE 3.5 on Mandriva 2006.0 using Konstruct. I've managed to compile and install a few previous versions of KDE on previous Mandrake/Mandriva distributions with great success using the following howto:

http://www.mojavelinux.com/articles/konstruct.html

It's a little out of date now, but the basic procedure still works. You'll need to add a couple of lines to the end of the env-konstruct.sh script he suggests:

Source code

1
2
export XDG_DATA_DIRS=$KDEDIR/share/
export XDG_CONFIG_DIRS=$KDEDIR/etc/xdg/

However, my compilation seems to be getting stuck at the moment. I hope you have more success.
