3.5 woes...

I have recently switched from fc4 to kubuntu. last night i tried installing kde 3.5 using the kubuntu packages. it failed everytime i tried. i never could figure out why so i figured i would try konstruct. it ran for well over 5 hours and everything appeared to be going well. it took so long i had to go to bed while it was running. when i woke up i checked and it had also failed. it did not give me a reason...it just said [error 2]. i thought it might have worked but when i logged off then back on i was still using the old version. so i rebooted and of course...nothing. anyone have any ideas? am i missing something?

RE: 3.5 woes...

The Kubuntu packages worked fine for me. I just added the line to my sources.list and ran an upgrade through Synaptic. What kind of error messages did you get?
