Spanish spellchecker problem whit acute

Hi everybody:

I'm using Suse 9.3 Pro with KDE 3.4.0 level b

I encountered this problem, that I detected via Kmail but also I reproduced it in Kate.

It's about spanish spellchecker and acute accented vocals.

Thats is:
á -> "HMTL á"
é -> "HMTL é"
í -> "HMTL í"
ó -> "HMTL ó"
ú -> "HMTL ú"

This is correctly written phrase in spanish

El salón parecía vacío.

But if I eliminate accents:

El salon parecia vacio.

The spellchecker works fine and look for accurate words, but it doesn't show accent correctly.

Instead of "vacío", it shows "vaci'o"
Instead of "parecía", it shows "parec'ia"
Instead of "salón", it shows "salon"

Check the attachment to see it in action

That is, the spell checker puts apostrophe before the vocal instead of the acuted vocal.

Has anybody suffred this problem in spanish or in another language?

Maybe could it be a charset problem or incorrect configuration?

Thanks in advance.
