Login to a limit environment

When I log in as root I don’t get any menu or anything, I only get an xterm. And when I close the xterm I are logged out.

I now want almost the same for a normal user. I only want that a program is started where the user can do what he needs to do. And when it I closed, he is logged out. I don’t what him to do anything else.
