key events get serviced by some unknown application

Hi

I'm running SuSE 10 with KDE 3.5RC1, but had the following problem already before. What I have is, that I'm mapping the keycodes of special keys on my laptop to some XF86Audio... key symbols, which entails that those key symbols are getting serviced on key action. Right, not the worst thing in the world, I know, but I would like to change that standard behaviour because it doesn't do the trick in some cases. Here comes the problem, I can't do it with KHotKeys because the daemon never sees the events raised by the keys and I still get that same old sort of OSD :-(

Does anyone know which process might catch those Multimedia events before khotkeys has any chance to?

thx, M;chi

Check if you have KMilo enabled as one of the kded services.

control center -> KDE components -> services
