Cannot print photos

I've recently upgraded to KDE 3.4.2. I use Mepis 3.3

I print fine in Open Office and Firefox, but cannot print photos in kuickshow or digikam. I get this error:

Error message received from system
Error while reading filter description for true
Empty command line received

is this because I upgraded to KDE 3.4.2 from 3.3? Why would that make a difference? How can I fix this problem? And what is the best program for printing photos?

Thank you

seems like your KDE print settings are screwed. Have a look for the print manager

I have looked at it and I don't see anything different than when I had KDE 3.3.
What should I be looking for? Why would it change?

I was able to print with Gimp.

Thanks
