k3b verifying issues

Hi.

I burned two DVDs with k3b so far, having just recently started using Linux.
Had no problems with Nero under Windows, but here with k3b, both discs failed during verifying, and what most bothers me is that verifying takes 30 minutes! Why would that be? Something's not configured correctly, or is the drive dying or what? Any help would be appreciated.

I am having the same trouble. I have just upgraded to Ubuntu 5.10. with K3b version 0.12.2. if I skip the "verify" I get an OK on the writing, but I can't use the disk. I hope we gat some help on this problem.
