Mozilla thunderbird won't work

I am trying to use Mozilla Thunderbird on my new mandriva, since i switched from windows (I used m.t. on xp). I have a lot of mail stored on a cd, and an address book too; the problem is that Mozilla won't work. It opens the loading tab in the bottom panel, and twists the time thing for a while, then dissappears, and it just won't load. It would be great to get some help.

Try to start it from a terminal window (for example Konsole) and see if you get any hints in the application's output

RE: Mozilla thunderbird won't work

I had the same problem on my Mandriva 2006 rc2 entil I tryed "mozilla-thunderbird -vv" and it worked. I thougt that -vv maby meant "very verbose" and could give me some clues. It didnt, but it started Thunderbird without any further problems.
