CUPS Printing in non-KDE Apps

In Control Centre I have configured an IP printer via CUPS. I can print to that printer from all K applications. When I try and print to it from Firefox or any other non-K app, the only printer available is one that is not even in the printer control centre, in fact I don't know where it is getting it from!

Any help appreciated,
Jude.

Those other programs might have their own plugins for CUPS or a setting to specify an external print program.

In the latter case you can use kprinter as the command to relay printing through KDE
