Not yet .xcf preview in Konqueror?

Why .psd was supported before .xcf? (xcf Gimp's native file format)
Is there any information about that?
Towards who should i ask more infos about it?

Previews are usually achieved through plugins. Seems someone created one for psd files and nobody created one for xcf files yet.

Or it might be in a different addon package.

You could ask on the KDE grafics developer list https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-graphics-devel
if there is one or if somebody is known to work on it
