[KNewsTicker] Feature inquiry

Hi.

I've been recently using KNewsTicker on my KDE desktop to get the latest news on business, technology and other industries. I like its integration with KDE, as well as its ease of use. What I'm wondering is, can I do the following?
  1. Mark certain headlines "read" so they won't show up again
  2. Force a headline update instead of waiting for the preconfigured update (i.e. default is 30 minutes).

Thanks,
Dai

The second one is already possible.

Right click the ticker and select "Check news" or select the sub menu for the site you want to check and user "Check news" there
