Can someone help mw witha step by step totally novice proof guide to installing KDE 3.4

Hi,

I am sorry if this topic has already been covered, for I feel sure that someone must have already asked this question before. Anyway, i am a complete Linux novice. I have NEVER installed anything before, apart form through YAST with the CD's that came with the installation. I want to upgrade to KDE vers. 3.4 but really have no idea how. I am currently running Suse Linux 9.2 and just need help.
I simply don't know where to start, what buttons to press etc. Sorry, as most people will probably be laughing at my ignorance now! But I'm sure there are many other people in my situation!

Please Help!

Try to see if this will help you: http://www.andamooka.org/reader.pl?pgid=…velch01lev1sec5

However new as you are I wouldn't do it.

I would wait for a later version of your distro with 3.4 on it.

SUSE 10.0 is out, and I believe it has KDE 3.4, so you could just upgrade to that. It can now be downloaded for free.
