Kmail Starts on Startup!

After installing Kolab on a server in the office and updating Kontact to version 1.1.2 Kmail keeps starting when I start KDE!! I can't stop it, I have looked everywhere I can think of!

KDE 3.4.2
Redhat EL4 (2.6.9-11.EL)

Any ideas?

Could you have had KMail started when you last saved your session?

Try starting with an empty session (see control center->KDE components -> session management)

KMail

Thanks for the idea, however I did try that and it didn't make a difference.

What config files exist to start programs when kde starts?

You could check the autostart folder
kde-config --userpath autostart

Maybe also in any directory listed in KDEDIRS (including the installation preifx) and subdirectories autostart or Autostart there

Autostart is no go...

I have checked all the autostart directories in my /home/user/.kde directories and no where does anything relate to Kmail.

Does KDE use any other files to start programs on startup? Or could it be a configuration in Kmail somewhere?

This one has me stumped!!!

I'm pretty sure you've already done this... have you checked your ~/.xinitrc and/or startkde file? I don't think any of what you did above would change the contents of those two files, but it would not hurt to double check.

RE: Autostart is no go...

Thanks daihard but your correct, I have looked there with no luck.

Kmail seems to start just as the autorun script for the cd starts (which I have now disabled), the autorun for the cd is in the kde/Autorun directory... but Kmail is not! -sigh- I'm doomed to have the damn program start every time I boot.
