[Kopete] checking for libz... configure: error: not found. (And libz is there...)

Hi

Afer typing ./confgure everything goes smoothly until I get following error message:
checking for libz... configure: error: not found.
Possibly configure picks up an outdated version
installed by XFree86. Remove it from your system.

Check your installation and look into config.log

I have verified that I have libz-devel installed. I tried to uninstall/reinstall it, didn't help.
Any ideas what might be wrong?

Cheers!

Fixed it...

I noticed that zlib was missing...
