Screen Grab, Comand line, window id problems

Hi,

I am trying to take a screen grab of a window however there can be no mouse or keyboard needed in the process.

I have been messing with import from imageMagik and wmctrl - l to get the window id with no joy.

Could anyone tell me any other way to do this. Below is what I have been attempting to do this far.

I am sure there is some part to kde with I could use for this.

The full command I am running is:

import -window 0x0240001c screen.jpg

The error I am reveving is:

import: UnableToReadXWindowImage (0x0240001c).
import: missing an image filename `screen.jpg'.

Using wmctrl -l .... I can see that this is a window and that it is the window I wish to grab.

information from wmctrl -l :

0x0240001c 0 chance file:/usr/local/www/data-dist/swordfish/pageGen/individual-site-information.php - KDevelop

It may be a and probably is mistake in my part. I would like to be able to take a screen capture using import.

What am I doing wrong?

RE: Screen Grab, Comand line, window id problems

Are you saying you can't use either your mouse or your keyboard? How do you even type in your "import" command?

If you may in fact use your keyboard, then you can navigate through "ksnapshot" just with the keyboard.
