Desktop's background color

Hi!
Could someone please explain me how to change desktop's background color from command line?
Something like "xsetroot -solid black" doesn't work in Kde, it's working only in cdesim....
Thanks!

Sorry, I was calling the function changeColor, which doesn't exsist.
The correct function is setColor...
Now is working, thanks a lot!
