Desktop link to application and system logs ..

Hi folks !

I have perhaps a stupid question, but anyway. I wonder, when I create on the Desktop a link to an application and there is some output from the application which is usually seen in the terminal, where does it (the output) go in case if I start the application from the Desktop's link ? In which log-file can I see it ?

Thanks a lot !

Output written to the standard output stream of the application is going nowhere.

You could either check the option to run it in a terminal and leave the terminal open after exectution or divert the output to a file yourself.
