Disabling Ampersands (&)

Good Day All . . .

Firstly, tell me if this has anything to do with KDE (or QT?). Someone in the Gambas forum mentioned that it was a KDE feature.

Secondly, Please help me.

I wrote a program with about thirty command buttons. I did not enable the hotkey ampersands as in "&Quit as "Quit." Unfortunately sprinkled throughout the bunch of buttons are the underscores. I do not need these in this particular application.

Is there anyway of disabling this feature?

Thanks

I am not sure I understand this.

You get underlined characters even when not having an ampersand in front of them?

The very brief answer is Yes.

I have written lots of utility code in Suse Gambas 1.0.6 and most of the command buttons have underscores. This is true until 'something' runs of choices then no ampersands.

The attachment is a form with a number of meaningless command buttons. The text for each button does not contain any ampersands yet each button has a hotkey underscore.

Thanks for the reply.
