Screensaver as Background?

This may be a dumb question, but does anyone know if one can use a screensaver (e.g. kstars.kss) as a background?

I'm using KDE 3.3.2 on Debian Unstable.

I attempted to add the screensaver as a Background Program using the advanced button in the Background Configuration. But this just turned my background gray. I'm just curious to see if there may be another way.

Thanks.
