[Kopete] Exceeded rate limit

I've been getting messages lately when Kopete starts up and attempts to logon to AIM, MSN, etc.

Everything works fine, except AIM, which is telling me that I've exceeded the rate limit, and to try to reconnect in 10 minutes. Only, when I try to reconnect, it sometimes won't connect.

It's not like I'm sending out a bunch of messages at one time, I've just logged on to the internet.

Any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
V3

RE: [Kopete] Exceeded rate limit

Just loaded my daughter's IM in Kopete and have the same response! Works fine with my own user. She has over 200 contacts! Do you have many contacts?

Yes actually, I do have a lot of contacts. Over 200. Maybe that is something to do with the problem..?

Hmm I also have over 200 contacts. I'll try to pare it down and see if it works. Yahoo MSN and AIM are all working fine, its the ICQ that is exceeding the rate limit

Number of contacts is not it or at least 200 is not the magic number. I went from 220 contacts to 60 and still get the exceeded the rate limit problem

ICQ seems to be working fine for me. It's AIM that's the problem.

Kopete

Well I only have 1 Aim contact and 4 Yahoo contacts and 3 MSN, all work perfectly. ICQ on the other hand is exceeding the rate limit all the time even waiting for the 10 mins, still can't use Kopete for ICQ
