[Kopete] Cannot connect MSN on port 80

As mentioned in the topic, I cannot connect to any MSN messenger servers. I cannot go out through port 1863, so in the account preferences, I have tried changing the port to 80, and I have also tried changing the server to gateway.messenger.hotmail.com.

I am able to connect to MSN without any problems using GAIM and aMSN, but would really like to try out Kopete. Just in case the other clients had some extra servers up their sleeves in the case that hotmail.com is blocked, I ran netstat, which showed me the working server was gateway.messenger.hotmail.com. I also tried to telnet into the messenger servers on port 80 and had no problems.

I'm using version 0.10 on KDE 3.4.0. I recall reading somewhere about problems between older versions and KDE 3.4, but this package was part of the 3.4 network packages, so I assume that it does work in 3.4.

Thanks in advance for your help.
