kde 3.4 trash icon - no longer works

Greetings,

I did something a little silly. I went into gnome 2.8 installed on my system, and for whatever reason changed the icon for the trash can. I figured no biggie, so I went to kde, and tried changing icon themes, and that seemingly did the trick. Except that my trash can is no longer "animated" so to speak. When I put something into it, it no longer indicates whether it is full. Anyone able to offer some help?

Thanks.

Show hidden files and go to the /home/username/.kde/share/config/trashrc file.
The content must be the following. Maybe it has connection with this.

[Status]
Empty=true
Thanks and best regards...

When the trashcan is empty the file reads "true", when it isn't, it reads "false". I don't think there is any connection.
