[Kopete] Metacontacts

Kopete 0.10 - KDE 3.4

I added an several accounts to a Metacontact. Now I would like to remove some of them from the metacontact and leave them in my contact list. I can delete a contact, but then it's gone.

Have I overlooked an option ?

RE: [Kopete] Metacontacts

Although this is an ancient thread :) I thought I post a reply here anyway; if not for Alain then at least for the benefit of others who may have the same problem and stumble across this thread.

To remove a subcontact from a metacontact without deleting it from your contact list altogether, follow these simple steps
  • right click on the metacontact
  • select the subcontact to be removed
  • from the subcontact's submenu, select 'Change Meta Contact'
  • in the 'Move Contact' window that appears, tick the 'create a new meta contact for this contact' box and click 'OK'
  • right click on the metacontact, select the subcontact you wish to remove

Et voila, the subcontact will now appear on its own at the top of your contact list, from where you can add it to one of the groups

Cheers
Emile
