any plugin for kopete to handle voip like - hopefully - skype?

Hi everybody,

I use skype for some days and like it very much :-) but I hate using several apps for same or nearlysame work ...

Is there any plugin for kopete handling the skype calls ?

Is there a global standard for voip like skype or others?

Thanks
Martin

I don't know but I would expect that the licence of the Skype SDK isn't so compatible with the licence of Kopete

http://www.protocols.com/pbook/VoIP.htm

Most VoIP providers use SIP, but unfortunately Skype decided to brew their own protocol :(

Hi Anda,

Thanks for your answer ...

Yes, I found the informations in VoIP Standard ...

Yes it is bad that some companies brewing their own standard - like Skype - and their license is not GPL / DPL compatible :-(

Now searching for a better (Windows and Linux) application ... any ideas?

good luck
Martin
