Kde + smb shares

Sorry about my english
Kde 3.3
Locale koi8-r (cyrilic)
I'l try in konqarer
smb://myser/myshare
If a create folder in russian - the folder create BUT the name folder in utf8 character set

If i try in konqarer file:/home/samba/public
And create folder in russian - the folder create in koi8-r

Whats wrong ?

What locale did you set in the control center (Internet & Network->Local Network Browsing->MS Window encoding) ? I think the default is koi8-r (at least it was for me, even though my system is set to utf
