[Kopete] Installation Problems

When installing, I get to the part where I issue the make install command when I get this error:

I think it has to do with the fact that I'm using Knoppix 3.7 from a boot cd and /KNOPPIX/usr is mounted from the Knoppix cd, so it's a read only file system. Is there anyway possible to get around this so that I can run Kopete from a boot cd?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm trying to install Kopete-0.9.2.
