how do I adjust font size in konqueror for print jobs

When I print a web page in Konqueror, the font size is very tiny................How do I adjust the size for the print job........I've tried changing the font size of the page before printing through the "Configure Konqueror" settings, yet it doesn't affect the font size for the print job......I'm using KDE 3.3.2 in Debian Sarge...........

Any help appreciated......... :)

Yes, please

same is true with 3.3.2 on Mandrake 10.1 - is there nobody out who has this problem ? Will an upgrade to 3.4 solve the issue ?

Are you only adjusting the font sizes with the enlarge/shrink icon buttons? Or have you tried changing the default font sizes under Konqueror Set-up menu as well?

Don't know if it will work, but it was an idea.

I've tried both the +/- font size buttons, and as I mentions also adjusting the font sizes through the "Settings" menu............The only thing that works is to change the desktop resolution everytime I want to print a web page..........

This problem seems to be inversely related to the size of the desktop resolution (mine is 1280x1024)...........The larger the desktop resolution, the smaller the font appears when printing a web page, which means having to adjust the desktop to a smaller resolution through the KDE Control Center (say, from 1280x1024 down to something like 800x600) to get Konqueror to print with a decent font size........which is not a solution or workaround, IMO.........

I was hoping there might be some obscure config file I could edit manually that would allow me to adjust the font size for the printer output............

hidden config file

that was my hope as well. Seems we need to update on 3.4 ?

Anyway, in the german mandrake-user forum get a hint for a workaround. Adjusting the width of the konqueror window will scale the font. So if you have a very small window you will get large fonts.

Hmmm. thanx for the tip...........Will have to give it a go. ;)

PS - That trick seems to work...........I usually have the window maximized, so now I've adjusted the "Restore" size to the width I want for a good printer output.............Then I can maximize the window for normal browsing and "restore" it for printing.............Beats having to go through the Control Center to adjust the screen resolution to print a page.....

Thanx for the tip, palinkas......... :)
