component chooser
Hello to all.
I want to set a different web browser for KDE system.
I need to know what is the name of the variable that is passed as a parameter to ir.
I went to KDE Control Center -> KDE Components -> Component Chooser -> Web Browser and set the "in the following browser" option.
See:
firefox -remote "openurl($1,new-tab)"
The $1 is not the name of the URL passed from KMail for example.
Does anyone here know what is that name?
I tried %1 and $url too.

I think what you want is to open URLs in a new tab in firefox.
1. Change the default browser in the component chooser to firefox without options.
2. Configure firefox: Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Tabbed Browsing -> "Open links from other applications in:" -> "a new tab in the most recent window"
The only drawback is, that if you change the default browser also konqueror will start firefox when you open an URL. I hope this will be changed by the developers.

%u for one URL, %U for a list of URLs
I think this information could be available when you click on the edit line with an active Whats-This Cursor
