Kpilot sync problems

I'm using FC3 and KDE 3.4 and I'm trying to sync my Zire 31.

The first problem seems to be that I don't have dev/pilot. Is this something that should be installed automatically or do I have do do this manually?

Thanks

Dave

My setup is a little different, I'm running Mepis 3.3 (Debian) upgraded to KDE 3.4 and syncing with an old handspring visor. The sync works fine, but I find the connection to the handheld to be /dev/ttyUSB1, this may be a distro quirk. But I had no problem getting Kpilot to find my visor. The major quirk I note is that I can't get notes to syncronize using either the conduit to syncronize to Knotes (nothing happens) or the conduit to syncronize notes to files.
