screen resolution

Can not get the max resolution of which my monitor is capable (1280x1024) in KDE. In
K/control center/peripherals/display in the Size & Orientation tabbed sheet there is a drop-down
box entitled "Screen size" with a drop-down list. The highest resolution on the list is 1024x768.
I am running version 3.3.1 under the Debian unstable release. Knoppix's shell script
mkxf86config correctly reports out the higher resolution.

Where does KDE get its ideas about the possible resolutions? Anybody know?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sincerely,
Barry

RE: screen resolution

Hi Berry,

the possible Screen resolutions can be set via SAX2, the Display and Graphics Card definition Tool.
